Happy Halloween everyone. This is one of my favorite holidays...I think partly because it's the holiday that most gets us out of our everyday routine. First, we get to dress up like someone - or something - completely different. Second, we get to go around asking
strangers for candy; a practice that pretty much flies in the face of our parents trying to teach us to 1) be polite and 2) not ruin our teeth/appetites by gorging ourselves on candy. Third, we voluntarily break out of our safety zone. So often we try to surround ourselves with what is safe and familiar. Nothing like a good haunted house or Halloween party to break up
that routine!

Happy birthday, Mom. Miss you.
